18 May 2023 - Western Sussex during the Bronze Age and the Iron Age

The Bronze Age, which started around 2000 BC, is the prehistoric period following the Stone Age when ancient humans had learned to create tools and weapons by melting together metals such as copper and tin. The Iron Age in Europe was introduced during the late 11th century BC, brought here by traders from other parts of the world. Tools and weapons made by blacksmiths under greater heat were more robust.
