Dear Mr Balmforth,
Sainsbury’s Neighbourhood Hub store, Midhurst
We’re writing to notify you of a new Sainsbury’s store that we will shortly be opening in Midhurst. The new store will be replacing the existing Budgens on Bepton Road, which will be completely refurbished prior to opening as a Sainsbury’s.
We are excited to bring our convenience store offer to Midhurst and the new store will be over twice the size of a normal Sainsbury’s Local, at 6,500 sq. ft. The store will provide a wide range of exciting products and everyday essentials for local people, including household products, ready meals, fresh food and chilled products, as well as a pizza counter, an Argos collection point and our popular lunchtime offer. The store will open daily from 8.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Saturday and from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sundays.
As the new Sainsbury’s store will be replacing the existing Budgens, there will be a temporary closure for approximately 12 weeks from the beginning of September whilst the building is refurbished and made ready to open as a new Sainsbury’s store. We are however committed to minimising any impact on local people and these works are not expected to be disruptive.
External works will only be carried out between 8.00am and 6.00pm from Monday to Friday, and from 9.00am to 3.00pm on Saturdays. Some non-disruptive internal works may be carried out outside of these hours. We are expecting to open the new Sainsbury’s store in November, once the fit-out works are complete.
We will be taking on the existing staff members at Budgens as Sainsbury’s colleagues and we look forward to welcoming them to our team. The Sainsbury’s team in Midhurst will play an active role in the local community by supporting a local Charity, as well as our nationwide community programmes and charity partners.
We are strictly adhering to Government advice in relation to COVID-19. All on-site work will be undertaken in accordance with the Government’s social distancing guidelines and we’ll keep working practices under continuous review to ensure they align with the most up to date Government guidance.
We hope that this letter is helpful and look forward to opening our new store in Midhurst. We have also sent letters to properties situated in the vicinity of the site, to notify them of the new Sainsbury’s store and provide our contact details in case they have any questions.
If you have any queries about this letter or the new Sainsbury’s store, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our community representatives on 0800 080 3262 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and they will be more than happy to assist.
