West Lavington

A scattered village on the southern edge of Midhurst. It has several ‘centres’ – one around the Royal Oak public house, and a more extensive area around the now redundant village church and former village school. A further small attractive area is set around the Coster Brook. Dunford House is located to the south of the village. Richard Cobden, the Liberal MP associated with the Anti Corn Law League, was born here in 1804.
