It is with sadness that we need to report on the passing of John Pringle, who died following a road traffic accident in Midhurst in August 2026. John was a popular local figure who, with his dog Bertie, was a regular volunteer at the Midhurst Museum.
John was an avid collector himself and had a particular passion for models. Over the years, he built an extraordinary collection of more than 4,000 models, filling his flat with buses, cars, and almost anything else with wheels. If it had wheels and could be collected, there was a very good chance John did so!
John had a wonderful sense of humour and could be relied upon to bring a smile to those around him. His presence in Midhurst will be greatly missed and the Midhurst Society would like to extend its condolences to his children, Jo, Tim and Nick and his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.
