Midhurst Memoirs An Evacuee’s Story

This booklet gives the story-line of Peter Sydenham’s experiences as an evacuee taken from London to Midhurst by his mother in 1940.
This short account was used as the starting point of Peter’s four volume set of Midhurst Memoirs that document a detailed history of the Midhurst Rural District at that time.
This booklet is the companion guide and gives Peter’s own story which was initially presented to the Midhurst Society in a talk in 2014.
