The Midhurst Society has been in existence since the early 1960s when it was originally formed to provide a local voice on planning applications. Since then, the planning world has become much better regulated, and the Midhurst Society is now our local history and heritage group.
THE MIDHURST JOURNAL
The Midhurst Journal (previously called The Midhurst Magazine) was first published in the 1980s and has evolved from a short, nostalgic read for members of the society to the widely appealing, high-quality annual publication that we produce today.
Due to its increased quality, the print run has increased from 250 copies in 2022 to the 500 copies that are produced today. Because of its quality and local relevance, the annual Journal is passed on and shared over many months with an estimated total readership of 1700.
